Sophie Sue Scare

Those of you who know our pup, know she's very playful and energized and loves treats and human food... Well last night we noticed that she was very slow and kind of lethargic. She wouldn't jump off the couch or jump onto it. She wasn't interested in chicken or bacon or a puppy bone (which is EXTREMELY unlike her). When we'd let her outside she wouldn't run to chase birds or anything. The only thing she wanted to do was lay down and not move. She didn't want to be bothered. She finally moved downstairs and laid down by the back door so we let her outside again and she started to throw up foam. We had been watching her for about 45 minutes to kind of see what was going on, and when we saw her throwing up the foam we decided to take her to the vet. So we all hurried out to the truck and then she started acting completely normal. She was doing her little tap dance that she does when she gets excited, and we opened the car door and she jumped in just fine. We couldn't decide what to do because now she was acting normal. I asked Michael to just take us for a drive for a minute and we'd see how she did in the car. She again was completely normal and I rolled down the window and she let her ears flop away in the wind, she was barking at different things and had her little paws over the side of the window so she could see everything going on. By this time Michael had driven to a pet hospital close by which ended up being closed. And by this time she seemed completely normal. We drove back home and the rest of the night she seemed to be OK. But she sure gave us a scare. We are keeping a close on her now, and hoping maybe it was just a tummy ache.
