Pawn Stars

There is a show on TV that is quickly becoming one of our favorites (at least until American Idol starts!) Anyway, it's called Pawn Stars and it's a show that is done in Vegas at one of their pawn shops there. They show a bunch of crazy/cool things that people bring in wanting to sell or pawn and they get specialists to come in and give their opinion on how much things are worth and if they are real or fake. It's really neat. It's kind of similar to antiques roadshow except the items are brought to a pawn shop. Anyway their staff/owners are hilarious and completely make the show. Since Michael and I started watching this we swore that the next time we go to Vegas we were going to track down this pawn shop, so on our weekend get away, that's just what we did! It's just down the street from the Stratosphere. Anyway we went around 10:00am and looked around. It was cool we saw a lot of things in their store that we've seen on the show which was fun. We were just finishing up and were getting ready to leave when we saw Rick- one of the owners. I got all sorts of excited about it and went and asked if he takes pictures and he kindly said yes. So both Michael and I got to meet him and have our picture taken with him. I had him sign a picture of the 3 main people on the show and Michael had him sign a t-shirt he had bought from them. It was a lot of fun and a total highlight of the trip! We were laughing that I got so super excited about meeting him, we were wondering how I would react if it had been a movie star!! We're lame, but it was a lot of fun! If you haven't seen the show you totally should watch it, it's fun! And next time you go to Vegas, stop in and say hi to our new friend!!
