My last blog was talking about how thankful I am for my sweet husband because he is always doing sweet things for me like making dinner... and guess what I came home to that same night...
Then, Thursday morning we woke up and got the car packed up, I swear we only go 25 miles away and we feel like we pack the entire house. This time we were able to bring both the girls, which added to the complete chaos but we were SO glad to have them there with everyone!! I made the stuffing this year for the first time too, which I was nervous about. I knew it would never taste as good as mom's does but it ended up not being a bad second. After the stuffing was done we drove to Mom and Dad's.
Dinner was DELICIOUS as always. It was really nice to be with everyone and we all talked about how this is the last Thanksgiving we'll have without Robert. He gets home the day before Thanksgiving next year and we are counting the days!
After dinner we did a little project that Michael and I made. We actually took the idea from a really sweet gift we were given a few weeks ago. The young women from our ward dropped on our porch the cutest little thing. It was a pumpkin with a turkey head sticking in the front and then had feathers in the back that each one had filled out with what they were thankful for. It was so sweet and meant a lot to us that they would think of us!! So we took that same idea and made one for our family. The feathers each had "We are thankful for ______ because..." with the name of a family member filled in. Then we took turns passing around the feathers and each of us filled in why we are thankful for that person. It turned out really nice.
"TURKEY LURKEY"
Friday I headed back down to "O" town early. Mom, Emily, Benji, and I went to the Christmas show at the Spanish Fork fairgrounds. It was fun and we actually got a few things this year. Normally we go and only get the yummy doughnuts! I got both the girls a new collar, a few sweaters (they had a bin where they were a dollar a piece!! SCORE!), and about 25 clean flick edited DVD's for a dollar a piece... again SCORE! It was a fun day. On my way back home I stopped and braved Walmart on black Friday and to my surprise it was no busier then it normally is. I even got a parking spot about 4 spaces away from the front. I got a little Christmas shopping done for Michael and then went home. He was already home from work so we went and picked out our Angels on the Angel Tree this year. This is about the only tradition Michael and I do each year and we absolutely love it! We both got little boys this year, mine was 18 months and Michael's was seven. We went back to Walmart to do the shopping since it was quiet. We got both their shopping done that night. That was a lot of fun!! Here are a few pictures.

Saturday we went back to "O" town and played cards with Mom and Grandma until the BYU game started. Then while the rest of the family watched that Michael and I went and saw New Moon. I have to say... not a fan. Loved the first one, probably wont ever see the second one again. Didn't love it. Then after the movie we went back to Mom's house to play another hand of cards. We're slightly addicted to hand and foot!! We got two full games in and both times Mom and I won, anyone surprised??
Sunday Michael and I took on another little craft. I am going to an ornament exchange later this week, which for the record I am really looking forward to! I wasn't able to go to this last year and so I'm super psyched to go this year. A cute gal that used to be in our ward is doing it at her house. So anyway, I worked on those yesterday and am surprisingly happy with how they turned out. The final count is 22 people so I needed to do something that wasn't too pricey but still looked cute enough that you would put it on your tree and not throw it away (I hope anyway!!). Here are a few pictures...
Isn't he so sweet to help!! And SO handsome too!!
Oh! I totally forgot one of the funniest things we did. I think it was totally one of those had to be there moments but I thought it was funny. It was Thursday night when we got home from dinner at mom's. On one of the blogs I read there was a thing about getting 50 free picture Christmas cards for free- you only had to pay shipping of $3.19. So we were looking through our pictures and didn't have many with all of us so we attempted to get some family pictures without anyone to help take the pictures, or without a tripod. Needless to say they didn't turn out fantastic, but it was HILLARIOUS and gave us a good laugh! A total comedy of errors. But we finally got one that we settled on. Here is the winner.
Few, I'm exhausted!!

I think your Christmas picture turned out darling. You have to love Ruby Tuesday's sweet little fat belly! The ornaments turned out really cute, and I'm so glad that it is now on record for the whole world to see that you and I beat Grandma and Michael at two games of Hand and Foot. We rock!!!
That is my favorite part of the picture- her cute little tummy! I just want to kiss it! I am happy with the ornaments, I think they turned out pretty good. And yes- we do rock!! I'm going to be afraid to play again for fear of losing our winning streak!
