Who's with me?

OK, so I have a bit of an issue with American Idol. Did anyone see last night when they had the guy singing and they didn't think he was good enough so they had him bring in his 2 little boys- and then they put him through because they didn't want to make them sad? Totally not a fan of that. That guy has to come up with his own money to fly himself to Hollywood only for them to send him home later because the guy still can't sing. I think that is mean and cruel. If you don't think they sing well enough to be in the competition- tell them that. If you do think they can sing well enough- tell them that. Don't give them false hope that they'll make it when it's inevitable that they wont. I hate when they put people through because they begged, or because they are good looking, or because they bring their little kids in. Why do I watch this show?

I'm totally with you! I actually really dislike this whole interviewing process! They put all the horrible ones through because it's good tv. I think it's a waste of my time. I agree that giving the contestants false hope is degrading. I'm especially upset about the bikini girl. I always enjoy the show much more when they get to Hollywood and start weeding people out.
