Calling All Readers

I am one of those people who always has the intention of sitting down and reading a good book, but NEVER gets to it or starts it and never finishes it. I rarely find the time and when I do I feel guilty that I'm reading instead of cleaning the house or doing dishes or whatever. I think I maybe read one book a year if that. How ridiculous is that! I would like to know favorite books of yours that I should attempt. I say attempt because like I said I usually get about 50 pages into a book and then never finish it. But I am really going to try. I would love to hear your favorites!

I almost didn't post, but I HAVE TO! Since Harry Potter came out, there are not many books that compare. But, I like the Twilight series, The Thirteenth Tale, Whatever You Do, Don't Run: True Tales of a Botswana Safari Guide (if you want a bit of funny, non-fiction), The Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, I could really go on and on. I tried to pick books with you in mind. Just type the title into amazon.com and you will find the author if you're interested. Yay for reading!

Oooh, fried green tomatoes is a good one. I've never read it but it's one of my favorite movies- i should DEFINATELY read that one. We might have a winner.

Go to goodreads.com. Didn't I send you a thing to join? Anyway . . . if you look at my list on there it has a ton of books and the ratings I've given them. If I remember, I'll send you a link.

I also use goodreads.com
If you want a book that will suck you in and make you turn pages so quickly that you don't even realize, then read the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer! I LOVE those! Another favorite is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Goosegirl by Shannon Hale, Jane Eyre by one of the Bronte sisters(I always get confused if it's charlotte or Emily, and I like Macia Mcclure's clean romance novels, my favorite that i've read so far is probably the Praire Prince. The Icing on the Cake by Elodia STrain is a cute "mormon" love story. Oh so many books i love!!! BUt first, I'd definitely start with the twilight series, they have lots of copies at our library.
