Good Times

We had a very fun packed weekend! Our 3 year anniversary is Tuesday the 9th but since we both have to work we decided to spend the day celebrating on Saturday! It started at 7:15 Saturday morning when we got up for garage sales (how can the day be bad??) We got a lot of fun finds (listed earlier). Then we came home and got cleaned up and took care of a few things around the house. Then about 1:30 we headed to the state fair down town. It was a beautiful day and the weather was just perfect. We walked around and looked at booths and animals (and smelt them!!) and photography and art. It was a lot of fun just walking around holding my hubby's hand. Then once we got our fill of fun & sun there, we headed down town to The Melting Pot for a romantic dinner. For those of you who haven't been there- it's so fun! It's a fondue restaurant. It's a 4 course meal. We started off with a Wisconsin cheese fondue that comes with bread, apples, carrots, celery, and cauliflower to dip into the cheese. Second course was salad ( i think those were our favorite part, they were so good!) Then third course is your meat. It comes with a plate of raw meat that you cook in a pan in front of you and you pick the flavor of "broth" to cook your meat in. We had lobster, sirloin, filet, shrimp, pork & chicken.

Then the fourth course was the dessert. Ok, wait, this was our favorite :) You pick a chocolate combination- we had milk and white mixed, and they bring a plate of goodies to dip into the melted chocolate. That comes with strawberries, bananas, marshmallows, brownies & cheesecake. So delish!

I love you sweets! Thanks for a fun day!

Then... on Sunday we celebrated Emily's 27th birthday. Michael and I went to mom and dad's first to play rock band with Robert. I must say we did a mighty fine version of Interstate Love Song. Good job boys!

Then we headed to Em's house- she decided she wanted to host her own birthday this year. She made tin foil dinners in her backyard and then we played a mean game of 3 to 14, which I must say I won! WAHOO!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EM!
