Michael and I have been busy beavers this weekend! We started our laundry room project of board and batten molding and it looks AWESOME so far! Michael was amazing and didn't make a single wrong cut with all of the pieces and angles- he did awesome! My husband rocks! We started Friday night around 10pm (yes, we're crazy!) and then spent the whole day Saturday working on it. So far we've removed the old floor boards, replaced them with high floor boards and attached the board and batten molding pieces (super time consuming since each piece was a different length since our house apparently is not square!), framed the window, caulked each piece, and filled about half of the nail holes.
This week we'll finish filling the holes, and get to painting!! The board and batten will be a pure white and then this is the color I am going to paint the top portion:
Also, today I made these beauties for my craft/sewing room:
I still need to hem and iron them but then they are good to go. Fun!! Kind of hard to tell in the picture but it's a black and white hounds tooth pattern. Love it!
