Here is what we've been up to the last two weeks, in no perticular order whatsoever
- I started a new position as an IT Recruiter-loving it! It is definitely different from the previous recruiting position I had and DEFINITELY a different environment then the last two jobs I've had. All together now: HALLELUJAH!!
- We ran into problems with both of our cars in the same week. AWESOME! 1000 dollars in repairs later here we are with this new beauty
and are now selling this beauty
- Michael and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 9th and enjoyed a really nice date night together. He got off of work earlier than normal which just about made my year and to top it off I got a beautiful bouquet of roses with a really sweet card and taken out for sushi with my hot hubby.
Ok so this one I forgot the after shot on which normally I forget the before shot. But, here is the color I painted it. I paid $3 at a garage sale for this cute bench and put $6 worth of paint into it and it is currently priced at a local consignment store for $48!
Again, forgot the before shot until red paint had already made it's way to it. I paid $2 at a garage sale for this coffe table and decided I would branch out and paint it a fun color other then black or white and if I hated it, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I actually really liked it!
This red beauty has also found a home at the local consignment store and is waiting to be priced. I'll be interested to see what it goes for after only about 8 bucks total invested into it
And then there is this lovely table. I have to say this is my favorite to date. It just was SO bad before. Weathered & warped... it needed some serious lovin. I found the cutest knobs to use (97 cents a piece, thank you very much!) which was just the cherry on the top! I am going to have a really hard time getting rid of this one! And because of that it's sitting in my family room for now. Maybe for awhile. Maybe...forever.
- Last weekend we were able to squeeze in Swiss Days. Michael had never been and was a good sport to go with his weefie. And, I got my supply of wrapping paper for the year which is pretty much the only reason to go to Swiss Days isn't it? That and peach pie at the hub! On the way home we took the scenic route and enjoyed a nice drive through the canyon together. It was a good day!
- I need a nap

I can not WAIT to see your craft room!!!
me too! you have accomplished a lot...don't ya love those kind of weeks!? are you now in the consignment business on the side?
I don't blame you for wanting to keep that table. It's darling!
I have kind of started to do it on the side a little bit. We'll see what happens. I can't seem to part with the bigger pieces!
Congratulations on 5 years! Wahoo!
Maybe you could come spruce my place up! Your DIY projects are awesome! My problem is, I don't speak furniture . . . I simply cannot see past the ugly state that it's in!
