Michael had his appointment with the orthopedic specialist this morning and things are not going so hot. They think he might have a fracture in addition to the torn ligaments. We both thought the
appointment would be something like this- go in, doctor checks x rays, tells us weather he needs surgery or just physical therapy- sends him home. Well, instead they completely poked, prodded, turned, and tortured his ankle to where he is in more pain then he has been in the last few days, and is back to square one with the pain. I called to see how things went and he was completely in tears. This kid is really struggling. He said he had to walk almost a block from where he was able to park- walk himself into the building on his crutches, and do it again when he came out- after being totally
torqued on. We are going to get him a handicap parking pass so he can avoid the parking issue, but other then that I have no idea how to help him. He's not even supposed to be driving but had to today because I couldn't get work off. So because he was driving he hasn't taken any pain medicine in the last 12 hours so he could drive- which I'm sure made the pain today that much worse! We're trying to keep it elevated, iced, and
meds in him- but that doesn't seem to be helping much right now. Anyone have any good ideas???

I'm sorry about Michael's ankle. And I wish I knew more about injuries than I do, but I don't so I don't really have any advice accept to be prayerful with all the decisions you make regarding his ankle. I hope he feels better soon.
