This past week has been bananas. Here is the rundown:
Monday: I got last minute things ready before jewelry party at my house Tuesday night.
Tuesday: I had the jewelry party from 6:00 ish-9:00 ish. Immediately following the party I went to check on Michael upstairs and he was having trouble breathing and said he'd had trouble all day long breathing. We headed to insta care only for them to tell us we needed to go to the ER to check for blood clots stemming from his ankle and have a few other tests done. Michael didn't want to go because it was already really late and we both had work the next day that he didn't want to miss or be late for. We got home and in bed around 2:00 AM (please keep in mind our usual bed time is 9:00!)
Wednesday: We got a call from his Orthopedic Specialist saying the Physical therapy that he had ordered Michael to start that morning and had already gone to his first session- he wanted him to not go to and hold off doing until more tests had been done. Because he suggested more tests, and the night before that doctor wanted us to go into the ER for more tests- guess where we wound up Wednesday night? You guessed it. Our home away from home- the ER. We ended up having every test done under the sun and were sent home blood clot free, thankfully! We were home and in bed around 2:00 AM- Again! Michael is currently at the hospital again this morning (as we speak) waiting for an MRI to be done which they couldn't do while we were there last night. The doctors are afraid that the x-rays that we had done originally isn't showing everything and that there really is a fracture that will need surgery- due to his recovery not going as well as it should if it were just a sprain.
It's been a very frustrating few weeks. We feel like we've been given the run around as far as what's going on with his ankle. We still are unsure if he'll need surgery- doctors are still talking about that as a possibility. We should have a solid answer this morning after his MRI. However, this will be coming from the same doctor that refused to issue Michael a temporary handicap parking pass because he "should be back to normal in 2 days". That was 11 days ago.
So that's been our week. For any of you who have been around us this week or will be around us this week- I'm throwing out an enormous apology. We are frustrated, cranky and sleep deprived. Good times!
Side note- Guess who was at the hospital last night with us? President Monson and his wife. Hope everything is OK there.

Whew, and I thought I had had a busy week!? Hope you get this solved soon...at least you were in great company and you you count on the hospital not being demolished by a freak tornado!?
That's true!! Good point :)
I bet you're excited for the ER to open at the Riverton hospital. It'll be so close! I'm sorry he's in so much pain and I sure hope they can figure out what's going on soon.
