Lots to Blog about

Monday: I went in for a colonoscopy (DOUBLE BLAH!). When I came out of it the doctor came in and told me it was a pretty rough procedure because my intestines were so inflamed because I have crohns disease. They ended up having to kind of jab and prod thier way through my intestines and said that I would probably be in quite a bit of pain. They said if the pain got worse over the next few days to call them.
Tuesday: I went to work and was still in a lot of pain. I ended up leaving early to come home and rest.
Wednesday: I stayed home from work because the pain was INSANE!! I ended up calling the doctor who was out that day and everyone was telling me to go to the emergency room. I didn't want to go so I just stayed in bed trying to get better. That day I was really having a poor me day because of how much pain I had been in so on Wednesday night Michael came home from work and made me stay in bed and wouldn't let me come downstairs. About an hour later he came to help me downstairs and I came down to this:

Michael had made a romantic candle lit dinner! He made some yummy lemon herb chicken with Alfredo pasta, french bread and fruit salad. He even brought me flowers!! It was the sweetest thing ever! He's such a keeper!!

Thursday: I got ready for work but knew I wouldn't make it. The pain was really really bad and I could barely walk. Michael drove me to the doctors hoping they could see me, which they couldn't and they told me to go to the emergency room. So that's where we went. They did xrays and blood work and said everything looked normal and they sent me home.

Friday: I had my follow up with the doctor and he basically said the pain I had been in is because I have crohns. Someone that would have had the same procedure that didn't have crohns would be in pain for an hour or two at most, but someone with crohns will be in pain for a good week or two. (that would have been nice to know before making a trip to the hospital!!) He explained to me what chrones is and basically I have a spot or two in my intestines that are severely inflamed which causes A LOT of pain. And with the procedure not going as smoothly as they would have hoped for they really aggrivated those spots, which in turn is causing the pain. There are a lot of foods I have to stay away from that would cause the chrones to flare up. And I am also on 3 new medications for the rest of my life, on and off. With the new medication I finally started to feel better and it was just in time because my sister and I threw our friend a baby shower yesterday. I was still moving a little slower then normal but was glad I could still go! It turned out really cute. We had about 15 people total and everything was so cute!! Here are a few pictures:
